CORNISH FOLKLORE CARDS
Working in collaboration with The Heart of a Garden cards, I created 6 different illustrations to be printed in a square 160mm x 160mm format. These designs celebrate the dark and mysterious creatures found within Cornish mythology, from the giant Bolster of St Agnes to the sea serpent Morgawr of Falmouth Bay. Each is tied to a specific location, in the hopes of encouraging tourism and creating a beautiful, collectable artefact.

The above photos demonstrate my process from a rough digital sketch based on some ideas in my sketchbook to a polished graphite drawing, which is then scanned and coloured digitally.
The text is hand-lettered, based on old script hand-writing.
